I 19 is looking for an Operations Technician for the Technical Department
The security political situation in our vicinity has changed and the government has decided that military capability should continue to be strengthened. This means that the Armed Forces and Norrbotten Regiment, I 19, will grow. A crucial factor for our growth is that the operations at the unit are carried out efficiently. Therefore, we currently need new employees in several different positions and at several different locations. We hope you want to join us in this expansive period.
The Technical Customer Reception Boden (TKM) is part of the technical department and is part of the garrison's logistics unit, which is responsible for supporting the garrison with maintenance services and technical services. TKM's main task is to order maintenance services from the Armed Forces' workshops, the inspection unit, and civilian contractual suppliers.
Main tasks:
- Supports users with ordering and issuing spare parts.
- The operations technicians assist customers with basic troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- The operations technician carries out booking, maintenance, supervision, and operational support of lubrication and washing halls as well as care facilities within the technical department's area of responsibility.
- Trains users in the facilities and conducts self-inspections according to applicable instructions.
- The operations technician should be prepared to perform other tasks within the technical customer reception's area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- 3-year upper secondary education with a technical focus or knowledge that the employer can assess as equivalent.
- Driving license B is required.
Meritorious:
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills to handle the Office package with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in inventory and spare parts management and/or work as a vehicle mechanic/mechanic.
- Knowledge and experience of the Armed Forces' equipment, such as heavy vehicles, combat vehicles, field work machines, various weapon systems, artillery systems, etc.
- C/CE driving license.

The position offers
The job also requires travel in the service, both domestically and internationally. The Armed Forces offers good opportunities for wellness and physical training as it is part of the job duties. Copies of grades should be presented at any interview. The employment is a civilian permanent position, starting with a six-month probationary period. Flexible working hours within certain frameworks apply.

I 19 is one of Sweden's largest regiments with operations in Boden, Kiruna, Tåme, and Grubbnäsudden/Lomben. The main location and management for the regiment is in Boden.
The regiment's most important task is to build combat units, and in the coming years, I 19 will gradually develop the new Norrbotten Brigade. By 2028, the regiment should be able to train, stockpile, and mobilize the entire brigade, including the associated functional units; command, field operations, air defense, and logistics. The brigade should be able to engage in combat in all environments but be specialized for combat in the subarctic environment of the Nordic region.
The regiment also includes the Armed Forces' winter unit, which is tasked with coordinating and supporting the development of the Armed Forces' winter capability.
The conscription training is conducted at the Norrbotten Armored Battalion, which is responsible for training and maintaining units for the Norrbotten Brigade. The regiment also consists of the regimental staff, Defense Health, Garrison Support Unit, Logistics Unit, and Local Planning Unit.
